The use of Auto Tune in Recordings has given birth to a genre all of it's own.

Listen to any song these days and chances are the singers vocals have gone through a process called Auto Tune. It's a studio process that takes notes that aren't on pitch and magically transforms them into a pitch perfect performance. The over use of the process has also given birth to a genre all of it's own with the top 40 full with singers willing to take the chance on what is fast becoming the new milleniums first vocal fad.

If you're unfamiliar with Auto-tune, and especially if you listen to much pop and rock, you might not hear it initially. When overdone, the effect yields an unnatural yodel or warble in a singer's voice. But the sound is so commonplace in modern mainstream music that your ears may have tuned out the auto-tune!
